Northland Contracting Services, LLC is proudly owned and operated by its founder, Dana Wiertzema, a lifelong resident of Breckenridge, MN. Dana offers a wide variety of skills and a vast amount of experience in contracting and construction, and he maintains contracting licensure in both Minnesota and North Dakota. His Minnesota Residential Building Contractor license number is BC807501, and his North Dakota contractor license number is 50060.

Dana was raised in a farming family and earned an associate degree in Building Construction Technology from North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) in Wahpeton, ND in 1984. He went on to operate his own woodworking business for several years before pursuing additional education in business management. He earned an associate degree in Small Business Administration/Management from NDSCS in 2000 and a bachelor degree in Business Administration and Management from Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) in 2007.

During this time, he began a career in business development and sales. Throughout this career, he continued to utilize his contracting and construction skills in an unofficial capacity by completing countless projects for various friends and family members as well as in his own home. His passion for both construction and business motivated him to found Northland Contracting Services, LLC in 2022.

He is married to the love of his life, Lorraine, and he has four adult children and two grandchildren.
